Our Process


STEP #1 – INITIAL CONTACT/AGREEMENT

I take the time to get to know each client to get a full understanding of his/her professional background, experience, credentialing, accomplishments, and more.  This allows me to assess how I can best serve you as my client.  While I have some package offerings, I recommend to each client what I believe is best for them in terms of what will assist them in reaching their employment goals.  It’s not about me; rather, it is all about my client and his/her needs.

Once I’ve assessed your needs, I’ll recommend some services that I can provide to you to help you move forward.  When an agreement is reached, I’ll start working on your behalf.  Additionally, I’ll fully explain each step in our process along the way so you are actively engaged.  As it relates to resume and cover letter development, I do not use a cookie cutter approach.  I build each resume in a unique way.  Each client is different thereby each resume should be different.

STEP #2 – PHONE CONSULTATION

Once an agreement is reached, I will contact you to schedule a time for an initial telephone consultation.  This telephone consultation will be geared toward you and it will be thorough.  It allows me to get a better understanding of you and your career goals better. Our telephone consultation will last between 60 to 90 minutes. Again, I want to learn as much as I can about you to understand your goals for your career, positions and/or companies of interest, your employment history—and your passions, talents, and interests. When the telephone consultation is complete, I will develop a strategy to creating a winning resume specifically for you.  I’ll complete a first draft within 2-4 business days.  This proof will be sent to you as a starting point upon its completion.

STEP #3 – DOCUMENT DRAFT DEVELOPMENT

The information provided during the initial consultation along with your previous resume are used as the resume is developed from scratch.  If I have additional questions, I will reach out to you to get the necessary information or clarify an item.  Additionally, if you recall anything that could be helpful to me that was not discussed during the telephone consultation, I strongly recommend you call me to further discuss or e-mail the information directly to me.

You are unique and your story should be too.  I will take care in building a powerful personal marketing document for you to utilize in your campaign.  Once a first draft is developed, I will send you this document for your review and critique.  Simply put, we’ll work together to refine the draft as often as needed to ensure you have the very best resume.  This means that I will refine the resume as often as necessary until you are completely satisfied with the document.  100% satisfaction guaranteed.

STEP #4 – RESUME REVIEW AND REVISION

I will send you proof of the resume for you to review within 2-4 business days upon completion of the initial telephone consultation.  I encourage you to take the time to review the document thorough making note of any changes you would like to have made.  I can turnaround another updated resume draft within a day.  Again, we’ll work together until you are completely satisfied.

STEP #5 – FINALIZED DOCUMENT

Once the resume document is finalized, you will receive the finalized resume in three formats including MS Word, PDF, and text versions.
